Mary Kugler, RN, is a pediatric nurse whose specialty is caring for children with long-term or severe medical problems. Mary has been covering rare disease news and research since 2000.
Mary provides home and school nursing for children who need medical care, many of whom have rare disorders. She is also a college lecturer in pediatric nursing.
Mary holds an M.S. in Nursing, nurse educator focus, from University of Massachusetts. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Being a medical person, I can help people understand what rare disorders are, what the research being done about them is, and help them find the information they need.
