Rasmussen's Encephalitis

Rasmussen's encephalitis affects the brainRasmussen's encephalitis is inflammation of part of the brain. It occurs most often in children under the age of 10, but may sometimes occur in adolescents and adults. There is strong evidence that Rasmussen's encephalitis is an autoimmune disease, meaning that the body's antibodies, which usually fight infection, attack healthy nerve cells in the brain.
