Pulmonary Hypertension

Sunday November 30, 2008
Pulmonary hypertensionPulmonary hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries, the vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs. It can be caused by many other medical conditions, or may have no known cause. The exact number of people who have PH is not known. Group 1 pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) without a known cause is rare; PH caused by an existing disease is more common.
