Multiple myeloma is a blood cell cancerMultiple myeloma is a blood cell cancer most often diagnosed in people after age 65. In the United States, the risk of multiple myeloma is highest among African-Americans and lowest among Asian Americans. Although there is no cure, many treatments for the disease are available, and research continues to discover new ways to fight it.
