International MPS Network Conference May 24-27, 2007

The 2007 International MPS Network Conference will take place May 24-27 in Serock, Poland. The International MPS Network helps to develop foreign cooperation among associations and scientific communities throughout the world for research and treatment of mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) and related disorders. According to the conference Web site, the purpose of the conference is to introduce aspects of treatment and specialist medical care for rare diseases and strengthen cooperation between scientific communities and government institutions, as well as associations of patients and their families. The conference program includes topics such as:

• Enzyme replacement therapy in MPS disorders
• Diagnosis and treatment of children with rare diseases
• Orphan drugs and MPS disorders
