Two studies of Angelman syndrome looking for volunteers

Research volunteers neededThe Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network lists these two studies as currently looking for individuals with Angelman syndrome to participate:
  • Angelman Syndrome Natural History Study
    This study is designed to learn more about the natural history, morbidity and mortality of Angelman syndrome. Data will be collected to gain a better understanding of the disease progression, and follow the natural history of the symptoms including assessment of quality of life and longevity.
  • Efficacy of Metafolin in Angelman Syndrome
    This study has been designed to evaluate the possible treatment benefits of L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (Metafolin), vitamin B12, creatine and betaine in children with Angelman Syndrome. Eligibility is 5 years of age and under with a confirmed diagnosis.
