Preventable Infant Brain Damage On the Rise

Kernicterus is a life-long neurological disorder caused by severely high levels of bilirubin in a newborn’s blood. We have the tools and technology to prevent it or treat it if caught early. So why does the number of cases of kernicterus seem to be rising?
